Venture Coach (m/f/d)

Your mission

Remote or based in Berlin (hybrid work model), part-time, Freelancing


The project you would be working on at The DO School Fellowships is beVisioneers - a global environmental Fellowship which starts with a 12-month hybrid-learning program that equips innovators aged 16 to 28 with the training, expert support and resources to bring their planet-positive projects to life. Upon completing the intensive 12-month program, Fellows continue to receive support to scale their projects and develop their leadership skills.

As a Venture Coach you will coach young entrepreneurs from around the world to develop and launch projects that regenerate their natural ecosystems. You work directly with dozens of fellows over the course of a 12-month period. Your work is part of a holistic, hybrid program for fellows to develop their leadership, entrepreneurial skills, and environmental stewardship.


You would own...                                            

  • Coaching between 2 to 5 groups which translates into 35 to 87 fellows (equals between 25% and 62.5% FTE)

  • Execution of a group-based coaching roadmap for fellows to move from idea to launch of their project 

  • Preparing and leading monthly video calls with your fellow coaching groups from highly diverse backgrounds and regions to help them apply the venture learning concepts and deepen skills

  • Being the contact point for the requests by your fellows on venture learning outside coaching group sessions via our online platform, live venture office hours and/or voice notes

  • Overseeing the completion of project milestones, reviewing them and provide feedback to your fellows

  • Tracking the learning progress of the fellows you directly coach in your coaching groups via the project dashboard and Hubspot

  • Proactively share with the whole venture coaching team your approaches, lessons learnt and tools used from your ongoing coaching of fellows


… and support

  • Facilitating program-wide venture learning sessions as needed

  • Your fellows in drafting project scholarship applications, review other fellows’ applications as part of the overall review team and moderate jury sessions where fellows are pitching their projects

  • Feedback loops on the venture learning content to ensure we iterate the program to best serve fellows

  • Based on your specific areas of expertise you might also run a dedicated masterclass or second line support office hours

This is what you can expect…                        

In the first month, you will complete your onboarding, learn the nuts & bolts of beVisioneers incl.our  learning content and participate in finalizing coaching planning.

After three months, you will have a good understanding of our method and you will be coaching fellows to apply their entrepreneurial skills to the development of their project.

After six months, you will support fellows to prototype their projects and will proactively share your insights.

After one year, you will contribute to the next project scholarships cycle and contribute to continuous improvement.



Your profile

To thrive and grow in this role, you will have:                         

  • Practical experience in launching your own venture (non-profit or for-profit) and learning from successes and failures

  • Experience in coaching highly diverse early-stage entrepreneurs to move from idea to launch of a project or venture

  • Worked in online and hybrid settings and different cultural contexts


… and will be:                     

  • Able to create an empowering, inspiring atmosphere for youth to grow and take ownership of their results

  • Purpose-driven with a passion for environmental action and youth leadership

  • Empathetic, open-minded and flexible

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)


Ideally, you also have deep experience in ... 

  • a specific area relevant for early stage environmental ventures like effective marketing for impact ventures, design and (technical) product development, business model design or specific relevant sector expertise
