Your mission
The project you would be working on at The DO School Fellowships is beVisioneers - a global environmental Fellowship that spans a 3-year hybrid-learning program equipping innovators aged 16 to 28 with the training, expert support, and resources to bring their planet-positive projects to life. Upon completing the intensive 12-month program, Fellows continue to receive support to scale their projects and develop their leadership skills.
As the Venture Coaching Co-lead, you will be a driving force behind the long-term impact of entrepreneurial Fellows. You will co-lead the Venture Coaching team and ensure that fellows receive high-quality coaching to develop, launch, and grow their planet-positive projects during the overall beVisioneers learning journey.
About the role
You will manage...
Joint venture coaching strategy and line management of venture coaches across the multi-year fellowship
Run four venture coaching groups of fellows (est. 40 fellows)
Provide input into the overall fellowship curriculum and learning strategy in collaboration with the Learning & Community Team, with a specific focus on the journey of the Catalyst grant recipients
Guide project grant strategies in collaboration with the Operations and Program teams. In partnership with the Impact Ecosystem team, support external jury members and internal team reviewers to decide on grants and awards. In partnership with the Operations and Program teams, advise on the grant impact evaluation process and upskill fellows on how to track and communicate their impact.
Feedback loops to ensure we learn quickly and iterate
… and support
The Sustainable Ventures Directors as Deputy/Right-Hand, including support on OKRs and data analysis
The Sustainable Ventures Director on one strategic project at a time, including grants iterations
Collection of data on Program KPIs in coordination with Knowledge Management and Reporting Manager
The management of one or more team members, if needed
Feed key storytelling opportunities to the Communications team on a monthly basis
As the Venture Coaching co-lead, you report to the Director of Sustainable Ventures and closely collaborate with the other co-lead, Ventures Coaches, the Pioneer Manager, Learning & Community, and the wider bV team.
This is what you can expect… In the first month, you will complete your onboarding, learn the nuts & bolts of beVisioneers, establish working relationships with our program and operations teams, and start to iterate the strategy of venture coaching and grants for the greatest impact. After three months, you will have taken over leadership of the venture coaches, the Catalyst Track, assist in the onboarding of the Grants, Stipend, and Finance Manager related to grants, and support the next cycle of grants selection. You have established the year’s goals and processes and will work closely with the Program and Operations teams to have scalable systems for tracking impact and continuous improvement. After six months, you will be in full swing, managing venture coaches to set fellows up for success in their planet-positive projects, supporting the grants team on fellows’ grant impact reports, and working with the Ecosystem Impact Director to consider synergies in the beVisioneers ecosystem for additional growth and funding opportunities for fellows. After one year, you will be at the forefront of scaling beVisioneers venture coaching and grants strategy to accelerate the environmental impact of fellows for the long-term. |
